Anyone have long term results on these?

How has the build quality been? I’m currently weighing 4inch lift options for the rear

"Edit" -You'll find a few folks on here, but RXT fairly new

That said, I've been running my RXT pack for about 2 months and so far they've been excellent! Huge improvement with ride quality. I believe Icon warranties the springs against "sag" for life of ownership... You would most likely need to add shackles to achieve the 4" in the rear.

I have been running mine for slightly over a year and half on my personal truck and our shop truck is going on a little longer than that. Tons of miles and offroad use without any issues.

Sounds good. Icon stuff has always served me well in the past.

I have a stupid question. Say the spring gets you 4 inches of lift. So conceivably there is 4 inches further up travel. Wouldn’t a 4 inch longer shock bottom out too soon if using the stock upper shock mount? Do the bumps need to be lowered to avoid this?

The leaf springs can still be used with the stock bumps in the same location. The RXT leafs will give more up travel and down travel than the factory leafs. When pair with Icon's hydraulic bumpstop kit that removes the factory bumps, it can achieve an extra inch of up travel.

The leafs can be set 4" of lift over stock however keep in mind that these are designed for additional weight in the bed when changing the options. It is increasing the spring rate of the spring pack. So this will create a rougher ride when empty. The RXT spec rear shock from Icon utilizes an offset rod end that allows for more bump and droop travel that this spring pack has to offer. When set at 4" of lift, yes, there in a sense is 4" more uptravel.

Can a standard shock meant for 4-6 inches of lift be used with the spring? That would have been a better question to start with

I would not recommend the 4-6" lift shock because the body is probably going to be too long and cause it to bottom out prematurely. For the height that you are lifting, I wouldn't recommend another shock other than the RXT spec shock.

Thank you very much. Makes a lot of sense.

Do the rxt springs work best with stock shackles or TC shackles?

Stock shackles are what they are designed around.

I just put these springs on 2 weeks ago and noticed today that they looked to be sagging. I went and measured and sure enough it’s sagging about 1/2”. I ran these in option 3 on my Tacoma with a shell and high clearance swing out bumper with no problems. I’m super irritated.

What setting are you running now? And are you running any constant load as well?

Right now I’ve got them on option 1 I have a Lear shell that weighs about 150lbs so I should be yielding about 1 1/4”-1 of lift, I’m only yielding about 1/2”- 1/4” of lift. To note I had no issues with the set on my Tacoma on option 3 while running an additional 450 pounds on a regular basis. They are actually running at a slight negative arch at the moment. To also note when I did my initial measurements I was at a full tank of gas, and I’m currently sitting at a full tank of gas.

Well that’s a bummer. I have my RXTs sitting in the garage right now. Maybe set to option 2? Or contact Icon about warranty?

I do plan on contacting them this means hopefully they make it right. When I had my stock springs and a 1” block I had an arbitrary measurement of 19 3/4”. When I initially put these on I was at 20”+/- I now sit at 19 3/8” +/- it’s not the load of the shell because it did maintain that lift for approx a week and a half it’s definitely a failure somewhere but I’m hopeful they will make it right. I loved these springs on my taco and I love the ride now just not stoked on around 1/4-3/8” of lift.

So I went to option 2 and with only the she’ll roughly 165-170 lbs I’m only at
1 3/4” of lift and now there is a gap between the original 2nd spring and the new 3rd spring. It is consistent on both springs in front and behind the axel. Icon is saying it’s normal but I don’t know about that. Thoughts?? Please also see my post above.

There is a post or two about this issue that a few guys have tackled or are in the process. Short point of a long story is we should have 3 inch wide leaf springs instead of the 2.25 or 2.5.... whichever it is from Toyota. Our trucks are so damn heavy that if you do anything other than drive down the road all the time with nothing in your bed, then the leaf springs will start sagging.

I’m ordering air bags tomorrow which I’m not super happy about. I did it on my 13 tundra and stock springs with lift blocks and it rode like crap. I’m hoping that because I have lift springs the space between the bump stop area and top of spring will be taller and hopefully it’ll ride better but we’ll see what happens.

@GDOLBOI why not try setting 3 on the rxt springs before adding more stuff?

Mine squeaked at first but they’re quiet now. No sagging that I’ve noticed. I’ve had them on option 1 for almost a year.

All I have to say is these springs are softer on stage 1 than the stock tundra leafs. Took away easy 90% of the bed bounce. Absolutely love them. You will have to spray we-40 once in awhile through. Not a big deal to me giving the nice ride it gives. You run through speed bumps not over them with the RXT’s.

But it sounds like you wouldn’t if the shell alone barely lifts stage 2?
