It does it once at about 15 mph when you first take off, then not again until you’ve shut the truck off and take off again, correct? If so, it IS normal, it is the ABS modulator pump self-test.

Welcome to the forum. Try to be a little more specific. When do you hear the clunk? Are you backing up when you hear it? Does it happen from first to second gear? Are you on an incline when it happens? Being that the truck is brand new and under warranty, Toyota should take care of it. Let us know what they say

BTW, if your door locks are set to auto lock on drive-off, it happens at the same time the ABS pump self-check runs, and you won’t hear it over the locks.

Yup...what he said. Mine does the same thing...I asked the service manager at the dealership, and got the answer Lanphil provided.

Documentation is a given. Take your Tundra back and express your concerns . It will help you down the road if they (Dealership) misdiagnosed the problem. I had a similar problem with a clunk @ slow speeds and was told it was normal, only to find out it was the propeller shaft issue . TSB finally came out and I ended up getting new shaft @ no cost to me. Good luck

ABS self diagnostic. Does it every time. Totally normal. At first I was worried my sway bar was popping every time I drove the truck out of the driveway lol

I've found that when I back out of my driveway and wait roughly 2-3 seconds before putting it in D it won't do it but if I stop and throw it straight into D it will. Also this winter if I would go out and let it warm up then come back and get in (5-10 minutes) it wouldn't do it.
