This is the greatest truck I have encountered ever. Every piece of it is beautifully engineered with genius. It's powerful, plenty of room, and great looking. I just think it's the best.

I have nothing but good things to say about all 5 of the Toyota's I have owned over the last 40 years. I have only owned one car of another brand for 6 excruciating years. What a mistake that was. 17 of those 40 years has been 1 Tundra, with the rest being a Hilux pickup that was totaled, and a Corona and Corolla wagon that I bought used. None of them were fancy, fast, cutting edge eye turning vehicles, but they just kept going and were easy on the purse.

    !! Toyota FanKid Thread !!

Me too. Other than being a vintage aircooled VW nut, I have only bought Toyotas (with one exception) and have never been let down. The one time I bought a new Jetta (2003) I received the cosmic slap on the wrist, and was left stranded 3 times before 60,000.

During my 2nd and 3rd tows to the VW dealership, I chatted up the tow truck driver about what cars he towed the most... and the least.

He warned me to never buy a new Buick or Volkswagen hands down.

Cars he said he NEVER towed? Toyota and Honda.

I drove my brand new 2007 Camry for eleven years and traded it with almost 200k for my Tundra. I love getting into the Tundra every time I do.

No one that I know has had a Toyota quit on them or strand them.

Here are my two together, total opposites, but I love them both...

Let's see if I can remember them all.

1986 pickup. 4WD. "Long" bed and regular cab.
1992 Celica GT-S. What a damn sexy Toyota that car was.
    1995 Avalon XL.
1992 pickup. Used. Hack job for the boy kids first vehicle.
1997 T-100 pickup. 4WD. Still in the driveway and running great.
    2001 Sequoia. 4WD.
2017 Corolla for Mrs. McGov. Totaled by an inattentive driver within 100 days.
2016 Corolla for Mrs. McGov. Replaced the 2017. By replacement time the 2017's were gone from the lots and the 2018 had CVT's. So they found me a 2016, new, in white.
    2017 Tundra.
2007 Rav4. Bought 8 months ago for the female kid to replace her Civic (grandpa bought for her) that her boyfriend totaled then pretty much skipped town. It wouldn't synch with her phone music so now she's in the 2016 Corolla and Mrs. McGov. and I have the Rav4. Which is a great little SUV. The door style hinged rear door is beyond easy to load groceries. etc.

Jesus. Don't make me list all the motorcycles.

I am over all happy with mine
Love the leather seats but coming from a Tacoma I miss the little storage places it had along with the ability to run 120 volt items once in a while.

Love the moon roof, open rear window and just the feel of it when I get in.

Its black so I wash it to the point my neighbor asked me how many times am I going to wash it.

Agreed on the Toyota being a great brand. I’ve had six vehicles including this one. Three Toyota, one VW, one Dodge, one Subaru. In abridged order/fate.

1987 Camry- ran it 210k miles, three new manual learners, 1x clutch replacement. Gave it away when I started college.
1995 Neon- 74k 2x headgasket, 1x MAF, 1x steering pump. Brake mc exploded, family mechanic tells me to kill it with fire.
2000 Cellica. smashed by errant trash truck, 1x water pump replacement over 100k miles.
2009 Jetta. Turbo threw glitter into the bore, engine briefly became external combustion cycle. 81k.
2015 Outback. Google “Subaru CVT issues outback”. Some bad habits on my part. Off-roading Where I probably shouldn’t have, and rear diff lost some teeth.

Only got the Subaru new, rest were used.

I agree! If you just let that go though with washing your black truck you'll be a lot happier. Nothing wrong with a little dirt on a truck.

    I like washing it.
I am not obsessive or anything.
But on a sunday when all is done I go out and wash mine and the wifes ride.
