My 2024 Tundra has been built on 05/02 and departed via train on 05/06.

It is a 1794 non-hybrid "iForce MAX" (new terminology by Toyota, or so the dealer told me) with a 5.5 bed in Celestial Silver over Saddle Tan with the TRD offroad package. It is expected to arrive at the dealer by the end of the month.

This will be my first truck ever. I am looking forward to the ownership experience and learning from and participating in this wonderful forum.

Now I will "wast" even more money on accessories. Now, where do I start? Please feel free to point me to your favorite money sinkholes and pits.

Congrats on the new truck! One thing your dealer has off, though, is that if it's not a hybrid then it's not an iForce MAX. The non hybrids are just an iForce.

How can you have a non hybrid iForce MAX? I think the MAX part of it is specific to the hybrid battery. My MAX gauge in my PRO shows me the hybrid battery power being used.

Because dealership salespeople are idiots and say lots of stuff that is wrong. He's just going off what they said.

That is what I thought, but he showed it to me on the computer. For 2024, apparently iForce MAX means the non hybrid drivetrain, while the iForce MAX HYBRID means the hybrid powertrain, and it is listed as such in the detailed specifications for each.

There are the iForce MAX and the iForce MAX HYBRID drivetrains. If I knew how to post up photos, it would help.

Do you have to check the box for "Iforce Minimum" to get the motor?

It is not you, Toyota marketing folks are tripping over themselves by changing up the names from previous, like the name can get more $$$. It is funny to me when they do this.

Think that’s your dealers doing. Don’t see anyone else calling the non-hybrid the max.

Your dealer is getting words confused......

i-force MAX is the hybrid 3.4.

i-force, which looks like what OP has, is your regular non-hybrid 3.4 turbo.

By adding MAX to the non de tuned V-6 Turbo you get 0 extra HP but wait, you also get 0 extra torque as well over the previous models. It just costs $5,000 more.

    Thank you Toyota marketing.

Go to Toyota.com and then select vehicles, then trucks. You'll see this. The only way to have a MAX is to have the hybrid that pushes 437 HP/583 lb-ft.

Finally, go to the builder on Toyota.com. Select your 1794 (nice choice by the way) and look at the powertrain options.

I've had both hybrid and non-hybrid. To me, the difference in feel is negligible. The turbos go woosh and she pulls like hell. Also, I like having the ability to disable the auto start/stop.

I drove both. I liked the non-hybrid better. It had plenty of power for my needs. And wants. And then some.

Yes, that is what I thought before going to the dealer. when I was there, he showed me this truck and I said no, since it said MAX right at the top. But the Model Code 8376A is the same as the 2023s so the engine is NOT a hybrid. I think either someone cut-and-paste the wrong text on the dealer portal, or they have not updated the public website still.

But why explain something by mere incompetence when a perfectly good conspiracy theory is right there?

Maybe Toyota is trying to muddy the waters and move more trucks by calling them all MAX and then capitalizing on the name recognition of its HYBRID moniker since the other models sold as hybrids are in demand for being hybrids?

    :D
