Hey everyone, first post. I purchased my '03 Tundra over the summer, it has about 94k on the clock. 2003 regular cab 3.4 v6 automatic 2wd. I know what they say about buying low mile older vehicles but I took the chance buying this one. Timing belt has been done at 90k, frame is in great shape (has been replaced is not coated in any rubber crap). I've gone through and done brake lines and gotten the thing inspected. What should I look out for with an low mile older vehicle?

I have limited experience working on my own vehicles which is part of the reason I got this truck, to work on something that isn't my primary vehicle. After having it for a little while I know I have an exhaust leak somewhere up front, the exhaust from the cat back has been done. I think its coming from the manifold and I'd like to replace this myself, any tips on this would be greatly appreciated.

My other concern is the rear axle is in rougher shape. The bottom of the diff case has been jb welded to stop a previous leak but with the shape the axle and the third member is in I would like to replace the whole rear end at some point. I believe I have 4.08 gears back there and I have ABS on board. Do I have to replace with a 4.08 or could I go with a 4.10? I would need an axle with ABS regardless of gearing, right?

With a 2wd you could do 3.9 or 4.3 as well. Or reuse your 3rd member in the new housing.

Yes, you'd need the housing from an ABS equipped RC or AC truck. DC are slightly different.
