After owning a truck my entire life I have decided to try something different as my needs have changed. Never have I thought I would ever drive anything but a truck. That was until I recently discovered the Sequndra! I immediately fell in love and cannot get it off my mind!

It’s more than capable for hunting, fishing, and camping. Will comfortably haul my family of 5 and 2 dogs on road trips.

I know it will take some getting used to as far as how I haul gear and do things after owning a truck my whole life but I think I can make it work.

My biggest hurdle will be finding a body shop that can successfully complete the front end swap as well as getting the LED headlights wired properly. There is very little info worth researching on how to get this done. If anyone has some advice I would greatly appreciate it!

I saw that. We have a few dealers here that try to pull that crap! Marking lift kits and wheels up by 500%

I’m willing to pay $5-7500 for the swap. If it’s more than that I will just have to live with it. Another thing is I don’t think I would spend the $$$ for an oem bumper. I’m sure it would be more cost efficient to go with a custom bumper like the nfab or similar

I think that one linked looks nice.

You could also look for a used oem bumper that some is selling after they went aftermarket.

I keep telling myself I'm gonna keep this truck til it dies then buy a sequndra but they're hilariously expensive. I'd wanna see if it's possible to convert the interior into tundra as well though, I really dislike the sequoia dash.. I basically just want my tundy but with a sequoia body. I may as well just get a topper and be done with it

It's also cheaper, gets better fuel economy and has more capability than a Sequoia.

I’d prefer a Sequoia Pro or a topper’d Tundra, the different wheel wells in the hybrid is doing a number on my ocd

My main reason for getting a sequoia. That third row.

I won’t have any issues with it’s capabilities. We aren’t doing any type of wheeling like all the cool guys on here. Mainly ranch roads and mountains. Nothing a 4x4 sequoia can’t handle.

Here’s a couple examples boss. It’s not for everybody but everybody ain’t paying! The only thing holding me back at the moment is dealer inventory. There’s only 1 for sale in my city

I think for way less money you could just put a Sequoia TRD Pro Grill on whatever Sequoia you want, and then just get yourself an aftermarket high clearance front bumper. Not exactly the Sequndra, but cheaper to build and leave you extra funding for other modifications.

    To each their own though

    Check out @Jbtaco2002 build

OK then I really just do not understand the concept here I guess?

How is this not like a Sequoia?

Is this just a cosmetic thing on the outside or do they finish the interior too somehow and install the 3rd row in it too?

He's going to take a Sequoia and make the front end (exterior) look like a 2014+ Tundra.

Never understood why Toyota didn't change the Sequoia after the Tundra. Look at GM they always change the SUV roughly a year after the truck.

I swapped my 2nd gen frontend to the 3rd gen. If you feel confident in spot welding some brackets in place, the rest is bolt on. Definitely not $20K worth of labor IMO. The hardest part for me was dealing with the fiberglass fenders and bedsides. But you wont have that problem.

Im a confident welder for sure. Just need to know what goes where? And I will still have to have all the parts painted correct?

This post helped me out a lot. Not all the P/N's are correct but with a little bit of digging on the internet, I got all the right parts on the first try. I'll try to answer to best of my recollection. Yeah, you'll still have to paint unless you find used parts off a truck that is the same color. I wanted to try my hand at painting (more than a piece here an there) so I masked off my garage and sprayed my frontend and bedsides DIY. Here's some pics if you want to see the evolution.

they do look good. since toyota always late with sequoia, you might get a sequntra when they release the new tundra in 2022 :)

Same. I’d have to do something with those rear quarters.
