I was searching for a 1000x1 watt amp to power my Hertz MPS 250 subs (500w each). When I spoke to Crutchfield, on 2 occasions, they advised me not to pull that much power from a hybrid system as it could affect the electrical components.
Anyone with a hybrid that has upgraded their audio had any problems with running amps on factory power?
    Is there a safe limit?

It's 1 watt per mile penalty!
So if you have a 1000 watt amp at 12 volts and max power, you will reduce your range by 83.33 miles if using full capacity of the amp the entire time.

This ∆ is obviously a mild joke...
But to answer your question, I don't know if there's a limit of draw on the hybrid electrical system. I wouldn't hesitate to power the amp directly from the engine's 12v battery and system. The 288v hybrid pack only runs the electric motors so it really doesn't have anything to do with taxing the main 12v electrical circuits of the "gas" side of the truck. But I will say the factory wiring for the audio system will not support a 1000w amp added to it (must wire directly to12v battery for amp power)
Highly recommend a capacitor on the powerline to the amp for diminished high draw peaks if at all concerned.

I have a JL audio vxi800 and RD1000/1 on a non-hybrid and was getting slight dimming dash lights/headlights when at around 30-40 volume depending on song. This was completely resolved by adding a JY NXT capacitor (which required a loop isolator so that my battery wouldn’t freak out about the change in voltage when the truck was off).

I would imagine that the hybrid will be more sensitive to voltage changes so would try and ask around local shops who have done systems on these trucks (which likely won’t be that common).

I went back to the drawing board and returned the Hertz subs. After reaching out to a couple people who have done an audio upgrade to the Hybrid, I made the decision to minimize the system's electical draw to be safe. Haven't had it installed yet. Should have it done just after the new year. I went with subs that total half the rms (Focal 10 slim) and bought a 5 channel amp (Wavetech plus 1000.5) to power the front, rear, and subs. And will replace the front speakers with JL Audio C3s. The rears will be a less expensive component upgrade. Hoping it meets my expectations...

Not tundra specific, but we just put a 800W mono block and a 45Wx4 amp in my daughter’s 2025 Corolla Hybrid. Used a LC7I with factory door speakers and a pair of 8s we had laying around. So far, zero issues and I’m betting she hammers on it from time to time…

We ran a 4ga from the 12V battery. Shouldn’t really affect the hybrid operation, but I can see where the ICE might run a tad more for the alternator.
