How to turn off rear lights when tailgate is down

I just picked up a floor freezer for my hunting trip, and is too long to keep bed closed. I plan of leaving the freezer plugged in for 4 days. Will this run the battery down? Surely there is a way to leave the tailgate down without the lights being on. Thanks

 

Assuming you mean the cargo lights. How long have you waited for them to go off?

If it is the cargo lights, just turn them off.

I was gana say, pretty sure they turn off on their own after a while.

 

They turn off after your car is shut off in probably 15 minutes give or take. There is a button to the left of your steering wheel if you get anxiety. Maybe you know but the plug in your bed isn’t strong enough to run that I’m sure and the plug only works with the truck running
