Hi! Newer Tundra owner. We need to swap out the 50a fuse for the ac blower, but it has that odd cover over it, and I don't want to damage it. Does anyone have a tip on how to get that off properly? Thanks!

This is what is considered the "main fuse", its really a block of several large fuses for the truck. If one fuse is bad the entire assembly or block must be replaced.
The glass is on top as a viewport, can you take a flashlight and look down inside to see if one of the fusible links is burned or broken?

Are you sure your blower motor fuse is bad? Having AC problems?

This is a pretty good video showing how to remove and replace the main fuse? Before you go to tearing it apart I would do some checking to make sure this is in fact your problem. Blowing a blower motor fuse is pretty rare.

I should add that if the blower fuse did in fact burn and is bad, might be a good idea to find out why. If you have a short or wiring issue the new fuse could burn as soon as you hook it up. That’s a lot of work to do only to be back at square one.

Now if you tried to jump start it and blew out the main fuse that’s a different story. 90% of the time this is why the main fuse is bad.

Would hate for you to replace it only for it to pop again if there is an issue with the blower motor wiring.
