I picked up some touch up paint to cover a small scratch. I have waxed the truck with Griots 3 in 1. What do I have to do to clean the area before touch up and how long should it cure before waxing ?

If the scratch isn't through the clear coat use a rubbing compound and buff it out. if the scratch is deep here is a video on the process.

If it's not deep you can try Meguiar's Scratch X. Just clean it, alcohol it, and then follow the directions. It'll fix lots of minor stuff in the clear coat.
