    By time / mileage?

Every time you put on new tires?

    Never?

I go about 12k between alignments. I also take it in right before the warranty for them to check it. If it's out within the warranty period, they align it free.

I get alignments by feel. When the truck starts pulling or riding rough up front it’s time.

    Function before sparkle.
If tires are wearing properly, only if I make changes to the suspension.

Same, though I’d also take it in if suspension took a particularly nasty hit

funny you mentioned this today I just had mine done today. I usually do one at least one time a yr. But recently because I got new wheels and tires. Started seeing some chopping inside of passenger tire can't have that. 20200419_122948.jpg

For my local shop it's 12 months or 12k. Firestone offers a lifetime alignment for about 180ish but they will not adjust outside of factory specs if you're lifted.

Put me in the club Of only if needed as indicated by feel or tire wear. In my case I had some excessive tire wear on the shoulders that wasn’t even left to right on each front tire. So since I needed an alignment, I made it count with a leveling job in the process! Good excuse to level the rig. Turned out the toe was a little out.
