I'm a stereo guy. Now, as I get "ancient" ;) (I'm 57) ..... I am leaning towards more efficient, not too ridiculous powered setups... but I think it's going to take 150-250 amps, for what I call a reasonably powered (3 to 5 Kwt) SQL system.

BTW, I actually currently own another Toyota Hybrid.... It gets 50+ mpg's... bet you can't guess what it is :) lol ....and it supposedly has a 35 amp max draw. Ha. So I found out from a reputable stereo shop owner, who installed a nice little 5 ch amp in his wife's car (same exact model, and year as mine) that it could handle "up to 100 amps", before it started popping up with "electrical error" warnings. So the amp I put in mine probably draws 40 amps normally, with peaks of 70 or 80 amps, and I've never had a problem. The little setup in this car actually sounds pretty phenomenal for only 800 watts.

Oh, but here is the $10K question... How is the electrical setup configured in a Toyota Tundra TRD Hybrid ??? I mean, does it actually have an alternator ? (which could be upgraded) OR, does it run off of an inverter, like my Prius ? BTW, their are some very nice things about the inverter setups... great for very stable power, for an upgraded stereo system > As long as its "enough" power.... And I don't think upgraded inverters are quite here yet :(
