    Hi all,

Many of us have modified suspension, therefore added larger tires. I just rolled 10,000 miles on my 2019 TRD Sport this week. At 500 miles I added a 1.9” lift to the front, no lift in rear and installed 34” tires. Wondering how long the transmission will be able to tolerate the larger wheels with factory rear gears before it needs replacement. I’ve seen some hi mileage 3rd gens, but also unsure how many have larger tires and how long those have been ran. Any anecdotal insights or facts we can gather here. Please take a moment to share for the excitement of the community?

That’s all depending on if you do burnt outs. These transmissions are pretty stout. It won’t really have issues unless you start to over heat it or push it really hard. I had 35s for 50k no gears, towed and everything, now I have 37s and 5.29 gears. No problems, I’ve over loaded and pulled hard. Oh the last 20k of the 50k put a supercharger on. Tranny is fine. 200k on this thing.

In all likelihood, the transmission will last longer than you keep the truck unless you throw a supercharger in and race the hell out of it. One guy on here has 400k on his transmission and it’s never been serviced... original fluid.

I’d say so, this really helps and is nice to read. Thanks for sharing and nice work on the S/C!
