I have a 2017 Tundra and am considering a 23 Tundra. After the initial release we all saw pics of the new truck with its cab off to access the waste gates for the turbos.

Does anyone know the standard hours a dealership would charge if the truck was out of warranty?

Not sure how many hours, but the Car Care Nut did mention on YouTube that lifting the cab isn't all that bad and is a regular procedure nowadays to get to the back of the engine.

So as long as the mechanic is competent, it shouldn't be a huge deal. A big job? Yes. But not something to freak out about.

Not sure but I thought I heard that to get to one of the turbos, you do need to lift the cab

Doesn't require removing the cab to do Turbo replacement. I've read through the service manual for Turbocharger removal. Toyota procedure is to remove the engine mount and lower the engine about 2-3 inches. How the tech decide to do it is up to them. Remember that techs gets paid flat rate and will take short cuts. Warranty pay less.
