I drove about 60 miles to get mine. How far did you go to pick up yours?

    100 miles away.

I would have drove further or flown in if not for this dealer dealing to guarantee allotment the next qtr. It was COVID market and this dealer was $4500 off while everybody else in the state was over sticker.

Called them Weds morning. Drove down to grab it that afternoon before the weekend rush

My dealership is 17 miles. They transferred the truck from a dealership that is 5.4 miles from me. I came close to buying one 153 miles from me and in hindsight probably should have.

~40 miles away, purely by chance that they had what I was looking for. The next dealer that had what I wanted was 2,600miles away, and that was my backup plan.

My last (non 3rd gen) purchase was from a dealer 700 miles away, and the one before that 450 miles away.

About 500 feet. Across the street from my job. The dealer I bought from has a sister dealer 60 miles away with the exact spec I wanted. They shipped it over and I walked across to sign papers during my lunch break.

Flew one-way and drove the new Tundra 470 miles back home in mid 2023; specifically for the model, package, color, and price point. I was fairly certain Toyota would discontinue the color the next model year since they had done so on the Tacoma the year before, which turned out to be the case.

I drove 300 miles to the dealership where I purchases mine, but the truck was a bit over 200 miles away from there.

Seems crazy, but part of the initial 300 miles was a 120 miles "test drive" in a buddy's new SR5 Tundra. He drove a couple hours to meet up with me, swap trucks (I was in an f150 at the time), and let me drive his Tundra back to his place so I could get a really good feel for it. The next couple couple days were the hunt and buy process through the dealership that is local to him and the sales guy went above and beyond, driving over a hundred miles each way to swap a truck on his lot for the truck I wanted to buy.

So, I personally drove 600 miles for it, but it had 200 on the clock when I got it due to the dealership swap process.

And that's how many miles. Neither is the center of the universe so most people don't have any context for that distance.

Drove 60 miles back in February 2022. Was 1 of 2 on the lot. Had 3 people ask me if it was still for sale while I was standing next to it after the sale was done, waiting on my sales guy to come out and walk me through the tech stuff. Was a crazy market back then.

    Jesus!!!
It's times like these that I can appreciate living just outside the 5th largest city in the country.
You can get pretty much anything here.
And with Houston having the largest port in the country as far as foreign tonnage goes most everything passes through it.

256 miles one way, Cañon City Colorado to Durango Colorado. Towed my travel trailer behind the Ridgeline to get there. Dropped off the key fob and returned with my dog in the back seat and trailer in tow, overnight camped in the San Juan National Forest near Durango. It was a lovely road trip to start off with my new 2025 Limited ownership.

3 reasons for buying out of town, 1) Durango Toyota had the model and color with the exact equipment I wanted, and 2) Small town transparent pricing. I might have been able to negotiate the trade deal down to the same price of the big city front range dealers but the haggling back and forth would have been a frustrating hassle. Durango Toyota already had a deep dealer discount to go along with Toyota factory incentives. Got a great deal! 3) Road Trip!!

I'll take driving extra miles for a vehicle purchase every few years over the stupidity that comes with city folk any day, and twice on Sunday. The "convenience" of the city wears thin when you start having your "neighbors" make decisions for you.

    I dont live in Houston.
I live about 30 miles outside of it.
Back in the day there was nothing from Houston to Katy on I-10.
Katy is a big Rice Growing community.
Every year the skies would fill with so many Geese and Ducks it would damn near block out the Sun!!!
Now it's one subdivision and strip mall after another.
Cant wait for the Wife to retire so we can move the hell out of here!!!
The weekend place we had on the South Llano river was WAY out in the boonies!!
Kinda kick myself in the Ass for selling it.
There were only 6k people in the whole County!!!

In '23 when I bought mine they were still a little tight. I wanted AVS, bags, and running boards. $5K premium in Asheville. $5K discount in Philly.

1200 miles round trip back in June 2022. Finding an AG 3rd gen that wasn't spoken for already in the Northwest was quite a task back then.

I wish I lived in the country. I live in town, city of 75,000 people. Nearest actual big city is Edmonton, 4.5 hours to the south. There's nothing bigger than my town going north.

It's not too bad. The Wife and AK like the amenities. I want a couple acres about 20min from town, but that gets really expensive I don't want to live in a mobile.
