F660A8EB-5CEF-49B3-854D-2D0EBCD4512D.jpg What’s up guys! What do you think of my shackle angle? Is it to straight and shouldn’t it be pointing inwards towards the truck, instead of outwards? Tried looking it up but couldn’t really find any answers. Presh!

The weight of the truck naturally pushes the leaf spring shackle out not in.

Here’s a video. You can see the angle when he lowers the truck at the end.

Ok, I see what your saying. Trying to figure out why the rear of my truck ride went from feeing like butter to a dump truck. And I’m not over exaggerating. Wish I was.

I recently had some icon rxt leaf pack put in. The ride was unlike anything I ever felt. Felt like a Cadillac for about a month, then the ride just got unbearably harsh. Everything is tightened down to spec. And the shocks seem to function the way the should. I was thinking the shackle was binding up the leafs not letting them to flex anymore.

Did you take the bushing out of the leaf spring eyelet and put the new ones in? The ones attached to the frame should be reused.

Yes sir. The ones the go in the frame we’re never taken out. The RXT Icons came with new bushing installed already in the leafs.

Ok Just checking. Do you mean firm when comparing it to a dump truck.

Yeah like REALLY firm. Like there’s no shocks or leafs back there lol. Crazy bed bounce. My 2 inch block was softer to the way it feels now. But like I said in the beginning. The leafs were amazing for about a month, and then the ride completely changed. There’s nothing wrong with the leafs. Spoke with Icon and they’re saying it’s either the shocks, shackles or bushings.
