How’d you secure your truck box in the bed?

Given the lack of storage in the cab, I’ve decided to keep my truck box in the bed. Plan to drill and bolt it down this weekend unless anyone has a better suggestion. Hate to drill holes, but can’t think of a better way.

Looking for your ideas/solutions for securing truck box in bed!

J hooks. No bed drilling necessary

Sorry...forgot to state it’s not a box that hangs on the rails. It sits on the truck bed...

Maybe it's a little late, but have you considered a swing case? They're a lot bigger inside than they look. I'm pretty happy with mine.

I second this. I have a single swing case and am glad I didn't do the double. For my needs one was plenty. Either way, they keep things secured and out of the way. Yes, you have to drill, but it is a solid setup.

I had one in my last truck. I just drilled through the bed and used fat washers underneath. Worked fine. Buuut if i were to do it over again, i would have used some steel hockey pucks to lift the box off the bed floor. This would have allowed me to blow out crap from underneath

Not sure if you’re open to buying a new box but someone on here bought one from tractor supply that lined up perfectly with existing bed bolts so no need to drill. Give a search and you should see what I’m talking about

Same situation you are in. I've bought victory4x4 bedmounts. I will be using them to secure the bed box with chain. I have a zdog tool box.

All great suggestions...thanks guys. I don’t think the swing boxes will have enough capacity. I’m going to look it over again tomorrow. Using the bed bolts might work too.

I hate to say it, but an over the rails box might be the best option. No drilling and fairly easy to remove if needed.

My highly technical, temporary solution, until I get a Decked system.
