    Hello all.
Just want to throw a bit of knowledge out there. I’ve had my HotShot Off-Road Hot Tails kit for 3/4 years now. A co-worker came up to me and told me that I’d didn’t have any tail lights and only one brake light worked.
Diagnosed it just now to find the wiring corroded away. I’ve only started to drive my truck full time in the past 18 months and live in the salt belt so take that for what it is.
Found this wire completely corroded away and it blew my fuse for the tail lights in the process. Luckily I’m a pack rat and keep my old sockets and bulbs.
I’d say if you have them, just make sure you have them tied up well and check them.

First time I've seen that. That looks to be more of an issue with the Vled bulb then the actual HotTails portion of the kit.

But that is still good advice, it is important to check harnesses and wires especially ones that were added not by the factory

it is definitely a interest in quality of the bulb and in no way indication of how hot shot off-road or anyone there customer service handled any questions or issues I had previously. They’ve been fantastic

Well... THAT's a first! At least the first failure that we've had that popped the tail light fuse. My guess is that the wiring somehow walked out, and then grounded to cause a short. Even though you're technically out of the warranty window for the bulb(s) I'm happy to replace it. Shoot me a PM with what all (at least visually) is amiss, and we'll start there.

And this is why I tagged you.

Get this issue on your radar and figured you'd do something to help the OP.

I wasn’t doing it to get anything from them. Just a FYI to other members in case a similar situation happens. I was afraid it was going to be rodent damage to be honest when I had a brake light working but no tails.

Completely valid. But Colton is a great dude and I wanted him to be aware of any issue going on with the product.

I also know he will do what he can to help someone out who is being respectful. Your post was great and it was worth getting his attention.
