Hood latch cable adjustable?

2021 Cement Crewmax Limited TRD 4X4

My 21 limited hood release cable has come out of the retainer and slot on the handle under the dash a few times. I can put it back in pretty easily and un latches the hood as it should but it seems like the cable has a little slack that allows it to slip out. I looked but couldn’t find any adjusters for this cable. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix other than cable replacement? Worst case, I’ll have it replaced under the warranty.
