"Hold" engaged at stop light then press more on brake to "activate engine off" mode results into situation of completely turning off the engine. So when I release the brake pedal engine does not restart automagically. I have to put back into Park and push the start button again. WAD (Working as Designed)?? Doesn't seem correct to me. It's happened multiple times.

Aah while I'm in Hold mode I want engine off temporarily didn't think about removing foot from brake pedal and relaxing, lol, then push gas pedal. I was just expecting to remove foot from brake and everything would be up and running. Thank you!

Thank you! Awesome feature then, I gotta grab manual this morning and see how to keep Hold activated full time each time I drive. Hoping it's like the Parking brake just hold 3 seconds...

On the Hybrid, I don’t believe the engine shuts off. I’ve used it a few times but didn’t seem like a useful feature IMO.

What the car care nut explains in his video is that Hybrids don't really have the "engine start stop" feature like our non hybrid do.

Hybrids shut off/start their gas engine all the time, depending if more power is needed or not. When I drove hybrid Tundra, it shut off and on the engine all the time... Like 100x times more than the "engine start stop" feature on the non-hybrid. I'm sure you know this already... Just for the record
