Hmm. Time for a coolant change, or new hose?

2016 5.7 with 120k - Noticed this pink buildup here at the edge of the hose/radiator connection, there was a little more that flaked away when I touched it:

Coolant was replaced in 2022 when I purchased the vehicle (supposedly) and is still pretty light pink and clean:

Think it's something I can fix with tightening the hose, swapping the coolant, or should I be thinking replacing the hose and clamp, or thinking bigger than that even?

If that was mine, I would back that clamp off a few inches and pull the hose slightly back, then clean and reposition everything. If it continues to seep I would consider replacing that clamp. That coolant looks perfectly fine to me, especially if its only a few years old.

I agree with Tilly, when you disconnect to clean you can assess the hose too — replace if it’s getting stiff as that affects seal.

I'll do that then, thanks guys, by age of the coolant I was thinking of doing this drain and refill this summer anyway. So if I can just clean things up for now, place a better hose clamp there, and stop things where it's at, that'll do for a while.

When the weather's more agreeable to a day in the shade, I'll drop my skid plate, drain the coolant, swap this hose, refill, and call it a day!

Use hose clamp or spring clamp? I’d remove clean and hose clamp it back.
