Hello I'm shopping around for a hitch and ball to have on hand with my truck to use whenever. I have a 2013 D.C. 5.7L with tow package. I will not be towing up to my limit on a regulars basis by any means but don't want to have to own several hitches. What is a good solid hitch and ball setup/product hat I can by that I can use for just about everything including up to my limit if I were to ever need that? I'm currently looking at this but it's rated to 7500 which is honestly probably he most ill ever tow but I also have a "you never know" mentality. Just a 2" ball with a 3" hitch drop. You'll be fine.

I like the carbon forged balls

Have you looked at an adjustable shank? Never buy another hitch again.

www.etrailer.com is a great place to start.

Only advice is if you go aluminum, make sure you lube the locking pin often.

Thanks for all the info! I think I'm going with the Curt setup I posted the link for. I guess if I ever decide to tow a space shuttle I'll re evaluate my setup then.

You'll love it man! Not sure if that's the best price I just wanted to send you a link.
    I got mine locally.

Oh I'm ready!!!!! Gonna be a better game than a lot of people think. FSU has looked better each week & it's in Tally. Historically Clemson has not played well there. I'm guessing you're going to offer a friendly wager haha

No doubt B&W is a great hitch. I had the three ball and it was nice but when it was stowed away the third ball was quite low (LOL. I can hear the comments already). I switched to the 2 ball version and it was much better when stowed away. I had no need for the 1 7/8" one. Also, I just bought a lock for mine that will set itself to be keyed to your truck. I always kept misplacing hitch lock keys and now no worries. Although, if I sell truck I guess I gotta buy a new lock. Lastly, B & Ws are made here in Kansas. Good product!!!

I have a B&W adjustable ball mount with 5 inch drop (tri-ball). It's built like a tank. Works great.

3/1 lift. 20x9 Method standards, machine face. 305/55/20 nitto trail grapplers
Kinda depends on your trailer height. 1 inch lift in back and then maybe 1-1.5 inch height due to tires size over factory im still just using a 2 inch drop for the trailer.

I just hauled a lawnmower with my dad's trailer and a 6" drop was perfect. Factory suspension on a 2013 CM Platinum.

I will agree with others who mentinned b&w hitches, built like tanks and American made. Well worth the money.
