Noticed this a little while ago and thought it was an interesting behavior.

At the start of the video I’m stopped on a steep section of my driveway and the truck is idling around 800rpm while in drive. I proceed to a level spot and stop again and the truck drops back down to the normal idle.

I didn’t do it in the video but if you shift into neutral it will also drop the idle back down.

Im assuming this is some sort of hill start assist, but I’ve never seen another vehicle increase the idle speed, every other vehicle I’ve driven just holds the brakes.

Have any of y’all noticed this?

I’ve also noticed this too, it does help with parking on really steep inclines. Don’t notice it too much otherwise, normal driving.
