My trucks high beams don't work when I flip my brights on (no dash light either) , but if I pull and hold the stick towards me, they come on... and when I let go, as designed, they go back off. I haven't had any long trips since buying the truck, so didn't notice until a week or so ago, so its been like this since I bought it. Anyone have any ideas? Scheduled to go in the 13th of October.

Have you tried to push the stick? Mine works by pushing it

Did you check the automatic high beams switch position?

Actually that wasn't it. I went out, clicked it in, tried and nothing, then clicked it out. It wasn't on to begin with. BUT, there's a little skinny dial, and I figured it was for dimming the dash lights. But it adjusts the headlight position. They were all the way up. The truck must not let you use constant brights with your headlights at max height. Kinda neat. I lowered them and the brights work again

I have a 2019 platinum and my dial is always in the 0 position (all the way up) you should only need to point them down if you are hauling something causing you to sag in the rear. I can turn my high beams on no problem, unless of course the auto high beam is on, then they wont come on unless there is no oncoming traffic. Also due to high safety laws you can not have more than X amount of forward facing lights so if your fogs are on when you turn on the highs, the fogs will shut off.

Hmmm… I’m going to have to try.

I think I have my headlights all the way up or maybe down one click. Only control inhibition is when the auto feature is in use.

Makes sense. One wouldn't want aircraft making approaches to land right in front of you.

Are you doing this with the lights in the auto position by chance?

My wife was asking me if I was crazy last night sitting in the driveway fiddling with my newly discovered headlight/wheel thingy!

Can we divert slightly to a 2002 Tundra? I have no high beams at all when I pull the stick back OR when it is forward in the High Beam position. I have replaced the relay and checked the fuses. Thinking it was the bulbs, I replaced them both with Plug and Play LED Sylvania's which the factory assured me is a plug and play headlight bulb for both bright and dims. They have a box connected to each bulb and no additional resistor is needed. I do not have flasher issues. I am told that I have a very slight illumination at the bulb when I pull the stick to me but have not seen that for myself. Taking it across country Wednesday and the brights would be helpful.

Sounds like you're experiencing a need for a new headlight stalk... how're your headlight bulb harnesses? Nothing burnt, right?

HulkSmurf14: I checked and on the brights I am getting a very dim flickering. I heard that on later models the fog lights interacted with the brights so I checked out all the switches and gadgets in the dash. One button looks like the fog lamp switch but in or out there was no change in anything. I have no fog lamps shining either. I then pulled the fog lamps and tried the lights without the bulbs. No change. I will take another look at that switch. So far I have found no burnt or compressed wires and the harnesses have looked flexible and clean. The fog lamps are looking enticing.

Hmmm, try this: it suggests a faulty headlight switch...https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-headlight-switch

Another option is to wire in an upgraded headlight harness that still uses your headlight stalk switch but you get power directly from the battery and relay and improves the halogen light output 100% roughly...https://www.amazon.com/Negative-Swi...t=&hvlocphy=9021322&hvtargid=pla-623164023496
