Hi just finally got my brother to sell me the Toyota Tundra that my father bought brand new and my brother paid off and took over when my father passed away. It is a 2011 with 55,000 miles. I am currently buying and installing parts dry rotted or broke from years of him never driving or letting aunts and uncles borrow it. The skid plate had to cut off with a grinder a couple of years ago to get the oil changed because during the previous one a couple of bolts were over tightened and stripped out. Noone would just cut the bolts to change the oil and I needed to borrow it for a long way off doctor visit and he just wanted the oil changed first no matter what .
    Few questions:

Has anyone ever bought tow mirrors off eBay with the blinker lights to know if everything will work??

What is a good multi fold hard bed cover I can get cheap so I can still haul without taking the bed cover off??

What all should be changed maintenance wise just for age since the milage is so low??

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your father. Glad to hear you’re looking to take care of the ride he left behind.

I’ve personally never bought tow mirrors. I would just be careful of the listings on eBay. A lot of cheap Chinese knock offs that might not fit great. Good used oem ones can be found. I whacked my side mirror on my 2010. Bought used ones off a 2019 for $190. Fit perfect.

For a bed cover, check realtruck. Lots of great options on there. Lots of price ranges too. You can get a good tri-fold for under $500. However, if you still want a useable bed, a roll up cover would be better. It’s more compact when not in use.

As far as maintenance, maybe take it to a good mechanic and get their opinion. It’s easy to go crazy and create a never ending project. Fluids might be a good place to start. Also I noticed you’re missing a rubber gasket/holder at the base of your radio antenna. I bought a new one on Amazon and changed my long antenna out for a shorty one. Looks more modern. Hope some of this helps.
