My name is Rick, long-time lurker, but newly official. This is my 5th Toyota truck. Bought Toyota because I don't want to have something to work on all the time. Got enough trouble with my other two. Did I mention that they were an M35A2 and an M925A2? Looking for some help in the form of a wiring diagram (think I found it), but if anyone is familiar with this weirdness, please feel free to chime in. Looked in my truck last night and noted that the security camera was still on. It is powered by the accessory plug and should be off when the ignition is off. Also noted that the other plug was still on as well. Also noticed that the remote lock/unlock function doesn't work. The red button on the key works just fine though. Given that beer thirty had passed, I waited 'til today to start looking at it. Hoping for a hung relay or something, but need some info to track down. This is the second malfunction for this truck (other was the radar module went out, thankfully under warranty), hoping we get past it and it becomes as trouble free as my others have been. Thanks for the add. Rick.

As well the search function may help.
There are times when it doesn't, but it is worth a shot.

There are a couple of mirror wiring diagrams in this thread.
Need to see if you have a 12-pin or 14-pin connector on the mirror.

Well, it just got stranger. Disconnected the battery last night (when all else fails, reboot), reconnected a few minutes later, and restarted the truck. No effect. Came out this morning ready to start tracking it down, and all is well. Doors lock and unlock with key fob, and the power sockets are off when the key is off. Broken old vehicles suck, broken new ones suck 100 times worse.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! With those other trucks as backup, I guess you're not worried about the Tundra's relatively limited payload.

Didn't get it for payload, got it for that humungous back seat, and the rear sliding glass. The bed is small, but big enough to haul around the stuff i need for work, and it pulls the camper pretty good, too. As for the other two, yup. Those don't even ride well until you get about 6 ton of rock in the bed.

As for the original problem, i thought that it might be the new phone charger that i got to go with my new phone. It was the new variable. Thought about it a little more and remembered that my dash cam had stopped working, then started working again, but without the cabin camera working. I decided to eliminate that first and haven't had the original problem since. Really don't know what happened or why it affected the things that it did. I got a new relay for the power ports thinking that maybe the camera or the charger had pulled too much power and was welding the contacts closed, but when i took it apart, the contacts showed no sign of being stuck together. And none of that explains why the key fob was acting weird. Anyway, the phone charger is hooked back up and working fine, and the original problem hasn't shown back up either. So now i'm looking for another dashcam setup. Thought about setting up a RaspberryPi, but the general consensus about that is that it's cheaper and easier to just buy one. Anybody got one they like? The old one was a Rexing 3 camera setup.

Left the charger plugged in, and left the camera out. No problems since last posting. Got a BlackVue set up somebody here recommended, will install it next week and see.
