    Hello, I have a 2011 Toyota Tundra 4.6

(The engine light, came on along with the 4lo, and traction control light) I plugged it in and got codes P0415 & P1604. I took the truck into the Toyota dealer they scanned it and confirmed the codes. Repair quote of $3,200 to replace air pumps and air switching values. They told me about this bypass kit so I looked it up and bought one from Hewitt tech for $450. I had a local mechanic install it based on everything I had read, it should work great..... HOWEVER, after less than 20 miles the engine light came on and now I have new codes P2443 & P2447 causing reduced power (limp mode) anyone else have these issues after installing the gen 2 kit????????

The original codes were electrical, the new codes are Mechanical. I fear the mechanic installed it wrong. Is that possible with the plug-and-play? HELP! Thanks

Call the Hewitt people. They are super responsive, knowledgeable, and want to help. Nothing but good experience with them, especially when trouble-shooting issues.

So, whatever happened to your truck? Did the shop installed it wrong?

I love it when people start a post and then don't follow up. This should happen more often.

I diy installed the gen 2 kit and then removed all the AIP equipment for the last 18 months without issue. It definitely works. Every once in a while a temp code pops up on my scanner (not a CEL on the dash), but goes away by the next engine start.
