2010 5.7, 10 years and 5 weeks old, 65k miles. Dreaded P2440 code, took it to the local dealer, $130 later told me what I already knew, told me best corse of action would be for me to call Toyota and ask for assistance, I called escalated call twice Toyota said sorry cannot help you 5 weeks outside extension period.
Considering the Hewett Tech solution but confused if I should get the gen 1 or gen 2 model.
    Thanks for any info

Went with the Gen1 which was on sale, installing the block off plates was the hardest part, removing the front wheels helps a lot, everything working fine now with no CEL.

Secondary Air Injection System Bypass Kit
@MacCTD Thanks for recommending the Hewitt Technologies Bypass Kit! Our recommended solution is the Gen 2 Bypass Kit. It is our most comprehensive bypass kit that will address both mechanical and electrical SAIS fault codes. The only codes it would not address is any related to damaged pressures sensor. If you had a damaged pressure sensor then a kit addon would be required. That said, I posting some recent threads below anyone else coming across this thread with SAIS issues. If any has any question do not hesitate to DM or contact us.
