Help with CarPlay and USB

Hello, I am having an issue with my carplay not working, and when it does its intermittent. I.e. I plug in my lighting cord for my iPhone and it will work 50% of the time. I've replaced the cord with a new one thinking it was that, but same result. If someone has any advice or a part number for the usb I'd be grateful.

make sure:

your Iphone software is up to date
your Entune software is up to date - down load entune & synch...I've had one update in a year.

and/or

when it glitches....press the volume button for ~5 seconds and the head unit will reboot. this always fixes mine.
