Help: Which bolt is this?

Hey all, got the dreaded water pump fail at 122,000k. Leaking from the weep hole, not a lot, but enough that I noticed when I took the skid plate off to do an oil change.

Anyway, got the new water pump installed today however I got a little overzealous with spinning bolts out. I spun out a bonus bolt, it's a 12mm head, in between the water pump bolts and the fan clutch housing. See photo.

I don't know what this bolt does, but I'd like to know so I can figure out the torque spec on it and have it properly reinstalled.

I marked it with white electrical tape to make it easier to see.

Anyone know what to call this bolt or better yet, what to torque it to? It had some ultra grey thread/gasket sealer on it, so I'm assuming it runs into the engine block.

I believe it’s one of many TIMING CHAIN COVER bolts ….BOLT B maybe

 

That has to be the one!

I figured the 12mm "long" singular bolt on the water pump is a 17ft/lb torque bolt and this one in question is the same size and length. Your diagrams confirm that assumption.

Thank you for posting these images. What manual are these from? I scurried through a few manuals I have digitally but wasn't able to find a chart like this. Beautiful!
