    Hey guys,

New here and needin a little help!! Did some crawling yesterday for the first time since I’ve bought my Tundra and now I have a small line hanging down from the rear passenger side of the truck under the bed. The line looks as if it comes from the rear of the truck following the frame?! Anyone delt with this hose coming loose or know what it might be?5CCB909E-2061-4D62-87EE-C196519A69DE.jpg8B673648-496B-43BD-A902-2AFE3D9BD55B.jpg

Looks like an air line. Was there air bags before the lift was installed?

I am not sure if there was air bags or not, I just purchased the truck about 4 months ago as is. Only thing I did myself unfortunately is the wheels and tires... so it’s a mystery! The line burned a little on my exhaust though so I definitely want to address it. It’s just weird that the line comes from the rear of the truck and there’s no fitting in the front for it to go to that I can see..

The line is definitely not high pressure though like you would see for air bags... it looks more like a drip/vent line or the line that would be used for windshield washer fluid or something

Sorry for the lack of details guys, I am trying to figure this out between breaks at work lol I’ve traced it to a Schrader valve on my bumper!!! However me and two other mechanics have looked at it now at my dealership I work for and all agree there’s no way it could be for air bags. There is also another one on the other side and just leads from the same place and zip ties around the rear shock?????

Looks like it had airbags before you can see in the pics the bumpstop bracket has been modified for airbags.

Here is the driver side still mounted correctly. It just sits there next to the shock connected to nothing..

That has to be it.. just seems like a very small brittle line to be used for air bags. Guess I don’t need to worry about it anymore though!! Thank you guys

Yes those lines aren't for that high of pressure. Just remove them or zip tie out of way

It’s airbags, you see the schrader valve on the underside your bumper in that pic (next to trailer wiring)? That’s where the line was ran to/from...

A line would have ran from the valve to a “t” fitting, which would have then ran to each airbag in the rear, had this setup on my Jeep. The lines are cheap plastic as the bags only take about 35psi max.

The previous owner just didn’t want to do the leg work of removing the lines; that and it saves u time if u ever added bags. There’s not much else, if any that it can be.
