I have a 2005 double cab. No remotes came with it when I bought it. VIN check didn’t show keyless entry, so I assumed it did never had that option.
Ordered the $12.95 eBay aftermarket keyless kit. When I got the kick panel off, I discovered the black box which is the dealer-installed keyless system.
Rather than back up and wait on the $40 programmable key, I was planning to go ahead and install the aftermarket.
Problem is, I have searched til frustrated for which wires to tie into. Conflicting info.
I can see the 4 wires the dealer-installed box is spliced to. Wouldn’t the aftermarket hook up to the same ones?
Can someone please point me to the correct wire colors for LOCK & UNLOCK for my model, or some simple instructions?
