Hi guys I've read a ton, but can't seem to figure out what I need. I have a faulty OEM navi head unit and instead of replacing with an $800+ used OEM, i am steering toward the kenwood dnx994s ($600 at Amazon) or the new dnx995s ($1k at same). I am not sure if the 995s HD display and capability is worth the $+400? Anyone with the 995s?

I have the JBL system, so do I need anything else to make sure I keep my steering wheel controls and usb?

Do I need a maestro? Just the maestro cables $36 on amaz or the black box thing too like $96.

I'm a two handed monkey wrench and not the DIY guy and unfortunately the local installers don't have a great reputation.
