I was on my way home from Maine pulling a travel trailer and had my exhaust system stolen. The thieves cut it downstream of the exhaust manifolds and in front of the tailpipe. My Tundra's been sitting at a dealer in Hamburg, PA since late April waiting for parts. Delivery dates have come and gone. I have no idea when I'll get my truck back. Anyone have a similar experience? Did Toyota help with a rental? I'm a dedicated Toyota guy having owned a Toyota truck since 1985.

People have waited 9 months. Its not a quick process and there are sadly soo many vehicles that got hit before you that still need parts. I've heard most insurance companies will pay for 1 month of the rental and then say its on Toyota to cover the rest. Definitely talk with the dealership that is doing the work and talk with your insurance company.

Look in to some Catalytic Protection plates as well, so once you do get your truck back you are better protected. Valhalla Shields are popular on this forum but there are plenty of options out there. Find one you can get and do what you can to add some protection once you get your truck back.

Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear of your situation.

My cats were stolen 11/16/2021 from my 2014 SR5 5.7 in my employer's parking lot.
My dealership, where I had bought the truck, had my truck for 8 months and 5 days.

They paid for a rental/loaner, except for the 1 month my auto insurance paid for the rental.
There are several threads on members going through exactly what you are going thru.
I was very fortunate that Toyota paid for my rental.

Also, a few threads on catalytic converter shields to help prevent it from happening again..
I ended up ordering and installing Vahalla shields from @Classy63 ..

Valhalla’s Shield - Catalytic Converter Theft Deterrent (valhallasshields.com)

    A thread on them..

Valhalla’s Shield theft deterrent/skid plates info and ordering post | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

    Good luck...

I have a 21 Tundra and have worried about cat theft after I bought it. Took it to a local muffler shop and they welded on some hard to cut steel stock. I live in a smaller town in the central valley of CA. Got an E-mail from a storage company where I used to keep a camping trailer. Any rv with a cat was hit. At the bottom was an statement from the PD. It is now rampant in our town. Just got home with a full CCM cat shield. The shop that installed it said I'm really good with both the steel rods and shield.
