I have a 2002 toyota tundra sr5 that has been through a breathalyzer and my husband screwing g with wires and now a shot ignition switch. We bough a new one an a aftermarket ignition switch harness Connector. The colors do not match on the wiring. If there is anyone that can help us figure out which wires go where please help. First picture is the original wiring with the green wire that has disconnected itself with belongs in the back right first spot and the large tan wire witch recently came out which I believe came from the front 3rd from right spot. Second picture is the aftermarket connector with wires and they are completely different and we need help connecting the 2. Old with new

    Welcome....

What will help us help you in future threads is to add a few more truck info details of your truck.....engine size V6(5VZ) or V8(2UZ), Cab Type( AC,access/DC,double cab/RC,regular cab)
I will assume from the connector colors that you have a 2UZ....V8 ?

What I personally would be concerned with is the conductor size of original connector vs after market connector. Toyota is no different than other Mfgs....correct conductor size according to circuit usage/current draw.
After market pins 2-4 conductor size definitely smaller than original connector 2-4.

I would consider getting the actual connector even if from junkyard or de-pin the biggest conductors from after market and use to de-pin original for usage. It can be done if you need help explaining. Perhaps others will come along with their thoughts.

In any case, this is what colors should be in pin location for original connector.

Agree w/ Bubba. Never buy aftermarket electrical stuff for Tundras. Only OEM or Denso. Also you can buy new connectors from Toyota. I would personally try keeping your original wires and repin them into a new connector. Then I would find that white wire in a junkyard and cut a pigtail with the terminal to repair your original white wire and plug it into the connector.

Please for safety sake remove your ring when working on electrical wiring. I’ve seen a gold ring arc and melt on a home mechanic. It wasn’t pretty.
