Hey guys my name is Julian and I live in Fullerton, California.
I moved here for college about 9 months ago from Romania, so I am currently a full-time student at Fullerton College.
Today I went to see a 1st gen Tundra for sale.
I want to know what you guys think of the price, because I really want to get it but it seems a bit overpriced.
    2004 Toyota Tundra 4.7 V8 (2UZ-FE engine) Limited, 138k miles.
The price is $11.9k, although I did manage to get it down to $11.5k. I still feel like that is high, but the condition of the car really left me impressed.
No clunks from the suspension, nor any extra bounciness. The engine runs very smooth, transmission switches gears very well, no weird noises or movements when putting it into gear.
The paintwork is great, with only a few exceptions on the bed cover where the clear coat is peeling off, and some rubber is peeling off the window frames.
The interior is also great, everything works, no buttons are falling off, even the pop-out cupholders work.
Turning the steering wheel feels good and doing so makes no bad noises.
The brakes work well (although maybe I'm wrong but the pedal travel seems too progressive as in at first you can press it too easily and then it kind of just gets hard to press down pretty suddenly, but probably not a major problem and fixable)
I have attached pictures, what do you guys think?

The frame is the big concern on the first gens. Crawl under.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! It does look nice, but definitely check underneath for frame rust. Does the seller have all the maintenance records?

If theres no service history, check the timing belt & expect to have to fix that and the lbj's for peace of mind.

post a pic of the master cylinder just in case its a unicorn. (But i dont know what years those were)

Welcome aboard from San Diego! Agree with others to check the frame underneath, looks clean above. Looking at the license plate sequence, that truck might not have been originally sold or registered in California.

    Welcome from NY.
Like said check for frame rust or repairs and ask for documentation if the timing belt was changed.

From the badging on the tailgate it appears to be 2WD. Like others have mentioned I would check the condition of the frame and condition underneath the truck. Do you know the history of this truck? Where has it lived prior to California?

Looks great & if it is a lifetime CA truck the frame is most likely ok but verifying never hurt anyone.

    Good luck!

Somewhere you can put the vin into the internet & see if its ever been dealer serviced.

Hey everyone, sorry for not replying to all the posts above, I did get the truck, managed to get it for $10.4k tho.
The owner did not have a service record, but it has been serviced at a dealership all its life so CarFax had it all. All changes were made according to the service plan. For those saying to check timing belt, it has been changed along with the water pump at 90k miles.
Also, it is 2WD, but I'm not an offroad guy.
This truck has been in Pennsylvania for 2 years, as the (only owner) moved there for a short period. Thankfully, only some surface rust.
I don't know exactly where the master cylinder is but I will find and post a picture.

Anyways, what mods do you think I should do? First mod I will do this week is for sure an interior led conversion. (not cheap led's though because those suck more than stock halogens lol)
Next up would probably be a carplay stereo (recommendations very welcome) and a better sound system as the current one seems to be pretty much blown.
After that we shall see, but please suggest mods I should do (not for off-roading, and I'm not going to lift it)

    Thanks for all the replies.

Congrats on your purchase! There are tons of mods to choose from. It depends on what YOU want to do with your truck.
