New to this forum so hope it's ok to post under this section. I own a 2003 Tundra SR5 and have done way too many mods to it. I have my inspection this month and am going to fail because sound is coming out of just the resonator. Reason being is that I took the Flowmaster exhaust I put on it off due to how quiet it was (for me). In Virginia you need to have pipe that goes at least an inch past the cab so looking for something that I can put on the truck to fix this and pass inspection. I have only a small amount of money because I just purchased a bike and only 18 years old (broke kid) so have been looking at things like Y pipes X pipes etc. Don't really know a lot about this stuff so just looking for some guidance on what to get, something that'll keep the volume I have now, or increase it. I have a 4.7 V8 and love how loud but nice the sound is on it rn, and would love to keep that and/or increase it with something. Thanks, Tristan.

Sounds like you need about 2 feet of 2.5" exhaust pipe and run it from the resonator outlet back to the old muffler mount, tie it in with an exhaust hanger and call it a day. I would suggest spending the extra $10 putting a turndown pipe at the end and face it to the side to help eject the gas out from under your car.
