Can anyone confirm this sounds like the serpentine belt?

You need to take the belt off and spin everything it spins (other than the crank) by hand. One of them will either feel loose or not smooth, and that's what you need to replace.

Yeah that's likely a pulley making the noise. if you haven't replaced the serpentine belt in a while, do that too.

Yea I was zoning in on where it was loudest. Seemed like the power steering pump area. I’ll take off the belt and check it out

Belt noises make more of a squealing sound sound

We’re you able to tell it was bad before taking it off and replacing? I haven’t taken my belt off yet. Only sprayed it with water and had the squeak stop for one second but then continue again.

on mine it made more like a ticking noise but i shook it off as the nortorius tundra valves ticking noise. Then I noticed part of my belt had sheered off months later. Thinking it was just an old belt, i replaced the belt only for it to happen again. I just went down the line of what could be wrong and changed the tensioner next because it wasnt a very expensive part. When i took the center allen bolt out of the tensioner, the entire assembly just came apart. Replaced it with the new one and no more belt jumping issue and to my surprise no more ticking noise as well. I believe the nortorius tundra ticking noise and other possible noise will be from a faulty tensioner.

ok thanks dude this is very good to know. i might at well just replace the tension pulley since i'm at 140k. was going to just take it off and manually turn stuff as suggested and replace the belt but doing that pulley as well may be worth the time since it will fail at some point if it hasn't already

While you’re in there might as well change the idler pulley too cuz it’s basically the same as the tensioner pulley without the tensioner.
