I started up my Toyota Tundra (2012) today at about 4:00 PM. On startup I sat there for a few minutes to get the oil to warmup. I sat there for about 5 minutes then a noise happened. Like an almost grinding noise. The noise happened then white smoke started coming out of the front right tire. I immediately turned it off and didn't drive it for the rest of the day as I am scared to start it. Please help me!

Have you looked under the hood? Serpentine belt intact?

Sounds like cam tower leaked onto manifold and creating that smoke.

It’s summer in the northern hemisphere. Is there a back story to why you sat there for 5 min. to let the oil warm?

First thoughts, need to look under the hood to see if you can tell where the smoke was coming from. May need to scan for codes that may reveal something.
Call around to Toyota shops and describe what you experienced.

    Good luck!

Cam towers leaks don’t suddenly do this nor make a grinding sound.

If the leak was bad enough, he sat there for 5 minutes oil could pool onto the manifold, it's literally right underneath it. Not sure what the grinding noise is but if OP had any common sense he would open the hood and see where it's coming from.

There are a few cases where owners had it dripping on their manifold and fumes entered the cabin, in one case, one person claimed the leak got so bad his truck caught on fire. Just what i read over at the Cam tower leak thread, i'm lucky my 2008 with 200K miles on it is bone dry, it's the later ones that were affected.
