Feels like I’ve been searching (off and on) for a proper way to eliminate the chrome aspects of my DC grill.

Seems like there are virtually no aftermarket options, with the exception of maybe billet…

anyone have any known sources for me to purchase??

    It's good
Some have wrapped it with 3m for a color match that looks really good depending on the skill of the installer. Some have sprayed them with various bedliner materials. Some have used plasti dip. Plasti dip and Rustoleum and Seymours suck - I tried them all. I did my bumpers in Raptor liner and like that a lot. I just shot my grill with it yesterday, so going that route for now. It is hard to spray well in some aspects. It throws out a lot. Too close or to slow moving and it blobs. Too far or fast and it comes out like sandpaper. Nail it and its a good option.

Thank you for such a quick/thorough reply!

Definitely considering application of something along the lines of what you mentioned, but would actually rather purchase a new replica (or used IF one can be found)

Does anyone know where another grill unit (like the housing not the mesh insert)?

I’m down to try and fab one up myself by following many previous write ups but I just can’t find one for sale (Amazon, ebay, Craigslist across entire USA etc.) struggled and failed at all of these thus far…

alb1k actually did a write-up with pics in his thread, I think? Super slick what he did on his, and others have followed.

Anyway, I know a lot of people aren't keen to searching, but did you see this thread a few below yours that's dedicated to grille options?

I agree completely that alb1k's write-up, and finished grill are slick indeed! I also like that it avoids cutting anything on OEM grill shroud (given that double cab aftermarket options/availability are rather impossible at this point in time)

I also did review the sub pertaining to the various grill options, but found it sort of inaccurate and not really beneficial when it comes to where to SOURCE said grill options...

Ultimately I'm likely to take the route that alb1k did, bc I like the look of the color-matched perimeter, but blacked out internals on the grill. Just received my "raptor" lights which really accentuate the grill of alb1k's!
