    Good afternoon,

    Just purchased in Switzerland a second hand Canadian 2019 white Platinum model which was imported from Alberta by its first owner. It was almost new as it drove less than 6'500km when I got it. Drove it quite a lot by European standards this Summer so now the odometer is North of 11'000km. This is my first truck and just love every minute of it.
    In the coming months it will turn into an overland rig.
    So far only modifications have been:
    - Swapping the standard pedals for billet metal ones which look and feel much better IMHO
    - Upgrading the cabin and roof lights to LED ones.

    More modifications to come as you may guess

    Wow..... now that's far!
    I miss the good 'ld Switzerland, visited when I was a kid and LOVED it.

    Enjoy the truck, you might need S/C soon with it being so high in the mountains, do you know how much power you are losing?

    Must be a hoot to drive it in town, saw bunch of Ram in the Netherlands and it was hilarious to see them driving through older parts of towns.

    Well, to be honest not needed as those mountain roads are really narrow with sharp turns, thus when the speed limit is 50km/h (31mph) I have usually to drive at 35km/h(21mph) to the great enjoyment of the small cars trailing me whose drivers are honking.

    Drove it to Toulouse, (France ) on the inland road via the French volcano park (yes they do have some very old volcanoes there, warm water springs included) and back along the French riviera totalling 2'500km, it is indeed a really good long distance cruiser.

    RAM are a mainstay in the Netherlands, there is a huge (given the small size of the country) grey market there. This is due to the tax incentives there, even if current gaz prices in Europe are right now just below 2.25€/l for premium fuel
    https://www.autoscout24.nl/lst/dodge/ram?sort=standard&desc=0&ustate=N,U&atype=C&cy=NL

    Also a grey market country for Tundras
    https://www.autoscout24.nl/lst/toyota/tundra?sort=standard&desc=0&ustate=N,U&atype=C&cy=NL

    Switzerland is quite different, Tundras are few.
    https://www.autoscout24.ch/de/autos/toyota--tundra?make=78&model=1997&vehtyp=10

    Having to import all the spare parts and accessories from the USA provided the sellers agree to ship to European continent.

    Why did you decide to get a Tundra vs a European model truck?

    Toyota == Reliability
    Full size truck == Comfort
    V8 == Simplicity of an atmospheric engine and sound

    Mid-Size Pickups (Isuzu, Amarok, Hilux, Navara) == Too small cabin, not wide and deep enough bed and on the overall not comfy. Small engines pushed to the limit , won't last and too complicated for reliability in the long run

    Fuel will always cost less than repairs
