Hello all, I have been browsing the forum for the past few months since picking up my Tundra and have learned a lot about its features and capability. I thought it is time to share.

I purchased my Tundra four months ago and it is my first brand new car and first pick-up truck. I traded in my beloved 5 speed 2000 Nissan Maxima owned since 2002. It was a great car with smooth power V6 and reliable. I decided it's time to move on to something newer and more utility. Being also a Subaru enthusiast, whom I still own a 2002 WRX, my choices were the Outback and Forester. I love the new Outback, especially with the return of the turbo engine, It was my main choice. After looking at one and long thought, I decided it may not provide enough growth in terms of utility and capability if I later need. I started looking at larger crossovers, like the Honda Passport and came across the Ridgeline. After long researching and watching reviews, I'd had found the perfect vehicle. I had never thought of purchasing a pick-up truck, since I always thought they were large and wasteful. I like the mid-size trucks like the Gladiator, Tacoma, Ranger, and Frontier, but they are small inside and don't really have any space to put anything besides in the bed. The Ridgeline has a trunk which is unique and the largest interior. I was set to get one, until I stopped by Toyota to look at their trucks. I knew a full-size would have plenty of room, but was hesitant of how large they are to drive. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth, comfortable, and easy the Tundra was to drive. It is big for sure, but drove smaller and turns very well. I fell in love.

After long research, thinking, and watching reviews, I went back to the dealer for one similar to the white basic SR5 Crew Max I drove. Unfortunately, they only had them in 2WD and I wanted 4WD. Looking around, we saw other SR5s, but all had missing must have features that would need to be added later. My dad pointed out one in the corner. It had all the features that we needed and all the feature we would had liked, but was much more than what I wanted to spend. Thankfully, or unfortunately for COVID, we were able to come down on the price enough to drive it home. Meet the Silver Walrus.

    Brand new from dealer

    Got the factory fender flares

I initially didn't like the chrome too much, but has grown on me. It matches Silver Sky Metallic very well. Best looking truck, It's tough yet honest look.

Great looking truck, and the best color too!

    Where in FL are you?

My wife wants an Outback for her next vehicle but she has been told she might get unwanted attention from certain other women if she had one. I told her that was bogus and to get what she wants.

And welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!

Haha true, I think when the chrome is dull and faded someday it won't look as good.

Nice color! twins, except you didn't have to pay for the dealer pinstripe tack on.

Thank you! All of Toyota's choice of color for the Tundra are very nice. White was my original choice, but very happy with Silver Sky. It has a very unique hue under the beautiful Space Coast sun :)

Thank you all again! I am very happy with the purchase and made a great choice. It's so fun and smooth to drive, nothing like what reviewers say about it being rough and unrefined.
