My wife just got a 2022 Sequoia Platinum. The seat heaters take a long time to warm up and never get very warm. My 2019 Limited Tundra has heated seats which warm up within a few miles and get hot enough that I have to turn them down. The ones my wife had on her old Highlander were also very warm.

Can someone with a Platinum 2.5 Gen Tundra tell me if they are satisfied with their heated seats? Do they get hot enough that you have to turn them down from level 3 after a while?

Interesting, my 2020 TRD Pro don't seem to get very hot at all. We also have a few VWs and they get really hot. But for a Canadian winter mine are almost non existent

so...OP (@Geezer) , is this for a sequoia or tundra? i ask cuz you put in the tundra trd pro section, but state 2022 sequoia platinum. then you ask of other forum members with a platinum 2.5 gen tundra. i'd assume asking apples to apples would be better beneficial.

as for my input. i have a 2021 trd pro sequoia that has the heated seats. they seem to get warm enough to do what i like, but i wouldn't say hot. i personally would prob be discouraged if it did. @War Machine , how are the seats on Mrs. Machine's platinum sequoia? I remember your comment about the cooled portion, but don't recall anything on the heated portion.

2020 Platinum here, yeah they get hot and have to be turned down after a few miles. Even the wife in passenger does the same. Can't speak to Seq, but assume they are the same assembly.

I have a '21 1974, when purchased the seat heater did not work. The drivers seat didn't warm up at all. After the dealer replaced the heater assembly it works great.

Yeah our winters in New Mexico aren’t brutal at all so not sure if that’s a factor. It’s 50 degrees right now

2021 platinum and they get hot to where I have to turn them down after 4 or 5 miles. And this is with neoprene rough country seat covers on.

2015 Platinum. They always start on full blast but once things warm up i rarely have my seats over level one and for context it was -22F this morning on the way to work. Never found them to be cooler than i'd prefer.

2020 Sequoia TRD Pro here and I will admit, I was marginally disappointed in the production of heat in the seats. I mean, they work and for sure warm the seats up from dead cold, but nowhere near as warm as the 2019 Highlander Limited we have.

2020 1794, and my wife has NEVER complained about seats being too hot - until this truck. Once the truck warms up, she knocks it down to level 2.

I am looking for help with a Sequoia. I did not realize that this section was for TRD PRO, I thought I was posting in a general 2.5 Tundra section. Sorry about that. There is no good Sequoia forum that I know of and I believe the Platinum Sequoia would be the same interior as the Platinum Tundra.

Thank you. That is the answer I was hoping for. I had the dealer service department check mine out and they said they could not find a problem. That is what I expected from them for the first round. Now I have a little more ammunition for round two.

Thank you to all of you who have responded. It sounds like the Platinum seats should get hot just like the seats on our other Toyotas.

I have both a Platinum Sequoia and Tundra. I’ve barely used them, since I live in Texas and I’m really hot natured anyway, but they get pretty warm in my opinion. When I have turned them on I have it back off again within a few miles.
I like to turn the passenger side on during the summer to annoy my wife, and it’s always effective.

I have a 2018 1794 Edition. I came from a 2008 4Runner Limited. The seat heaters in my Tundra are mediocre at best. They get warm, but not nearly as warm as most other seat heaters I've had over the years, including my 4Runner. I'm pretty disappointed in them. But my disappointment is offset a little by the fact that this is the first car I've ever had with ventilated seats/coolers, so that's pretty nifty.

I feel the seat heaters most in really cold (sub 50 degree) wx. But at any other temp it's not what I'd expect.
