How much better are the premium lights vs the standard lights? In the areas of distance and spread.

Premiums are significantly better. Low beam distance is the same if they’re both aimed correctly. Premiums are significantly better especially high beams.

My coworker and I parked next to each other in our dark lot and my premiums were significantly better.

Do you know if they are plug-and-play?

They are not. I have yet to see a harness or anyone make one yet. Many switch to alpharex, or similar aftermarket. They aren’t quite as good as premium lights but better than the non premium.

When I was shopping for my ‘23, trade off for premium lights was no heated steering wheel. I couldnt find both together, so went with the steering wheel and plan on upgrading to alpharex or just add aux lights later.
