I have these in my 2002.

You may need headlight resistors if you have fogs. The fogs might stop working if you just do the LED in the headlights. Doesn't seem like every truck is affected by this. Most are though.

    I have these resistors.

Does it cast a nice light? I thought just replacing the bulb with an LED wouldn't project the nicest light pattern.

Yes, I think so. It's the closest to halogen that I've found that is an LED.

I do want to be the first, but don’t want to spend the $400 plus to get there right now. They look/perform amazing in video.

OP has a 2006 and will end up with resistor problems with the Katanas.

Didn't realize this was a problem on later year models.

Also depends on the type of Fog Light the user is running which affects the HeadLight LED
Performance with varying degrees. You were in that thread a few months back. Maybe bring it up and make it a Sticky? Key word: Secret Sauce.

Need more ground bean juice then to get brain juice up to optimal operating temp then. Things are sticky, and binding without proper friction modifiers being up to scratch yet....

    I'll just hush. Lol
