    Aloha,

Has anyone done or knows someone that had their Led DRL modded so that they had a switch so it stays on and on the brighter setting?

My tundra has a Auto but no way of keeping the brighter setting to stay on.

    thanks for any info

I would imagine a snip of a wire to keep the DIM from being activated, which wire that is, I do not know.

I think it's a gray wire. De-pin or cut it. @iHacker is the HL guru

Do you think having them on bright on the time will shorten the life of the LEDS?

I thought about that but I wasn't sure if that was the right one? I cut mine BUT connected it to the harness from him and mine dim when low beams are activated. You might be on to something though

Well, we had quite a long discussion about it lol. My HLs have bright DRLs no matter what and I didn't do anything to my gray wire

DOT standards require that the drl's dim with the headlights.
