Basically I have been browsing the forum and google for some time now. I really want fox coilovers. alot of the threads talk about fox 2.5 without a direct link, but everytime I try to search for them, I only see 2-3" lift on them. but when i search for 6" lift fox coilovers, I get a bunch of lift kits with foxes in them, but they use spacers. the closest thing I can find is a 7" fox coilover from BDS do these work for 6"? I do see some 6" foxes, but those say it is for other trucks. I really don't want to use spacers.

its a 2018 platinum 4wd with a 6" rough country. That's how i bought it. I plan on installing them myself with the help with friends, so I don't want to go to a service to ask for help if I don't plan on using their service...

is this one of those things where i should go to a suspension place and ask for help? or do i really need to use spacers?

The spacer you have above your stock strut should be 6 inches tall. If it is you should be fine using any 6 inch taller coilover assembly.

sorry, i should be more specific. i don't have spacers right now. my issue right now is i don't know where to find these 6 inch taller coils. everything i find is marked as 2-3" lift. so if I'm reading it as is, then if i put them in then it will drop about 3 inches.

Contact your local quality offroad shop and have them order a set for you. That's what I did.

I think that is what i will do. im just worried they might be a little annoyed if I don't have them install it for me.

after more searching though, i have found fox 88302124, https://liftkits4less.com/bds-88306...rs-w-optional-dsc-adjuster-fits-4-5-lift-pair

@state48overland said in that post it should be able to preload to 6", so hopefully that is the case. might only need 5" tbh.

I preferred them to install to ensure proper lift and alignment. I also asked for them to go higher than 6" so another reason why I preferred them to install.

If you have a 6 inch lift you need coilovers made for a 6 inch lift, not 4.5

some lift kits only drop the control arm 4.5 inches. You need it all to match.
