Wouldn't surprise me if it's 2022. I'm still getting surveys from Toyota about the Tundra so I would assume it's not going to be ready to debut in a month at the auto shows.

Well that’s the hold up then. We probably would of had it if you just fill out the survey lol

Fill them out every time I get them. Gives some interesting insight on some of the things they are thinking about.

I've been reading a lot about the new redesign and how its going to be 3.5 liter V6...i don't know enough on it, but how is that sufficient for a Tundra? Someone enlighten me on that please.

    - btw, i currently own a tacoma but in the market for the tundra. and confused as hell on whether to wait on the redesign or get one of the old designs. any insight on that would be appreciated too.

It’ll have a set of turbski’s if they go to a 6 cylinder. Easily exceed the output of the current V8.

Downside is a turbo 6 brings a slew of potential headaches. See: Ford

Engines they were talking bout a twin turbo v6 and a twin turbo hybrid.
anywhere from 400-500 hp and 450-550 torque
    MPG's 27-33
    Tow rating 11-12,000
    Price 40's-70,000

Sometimes it's boring stuff like how many times do you open and close your doors a day, how often do you have passengers.
They ask about how much of your commute is hwy, gravel roads, off-road.
They asked about if you were interested in overloading.
The one I got this week was about service. If you would be interested in having service brought to you. Pay a fee to have them change your oil, rotate tires, fill gas tank at your house or at work.

I’d like for them to stop sending surveys and release the redesigned Tundra already. :fingerscrossed:

True, I'm very curious about what the new one will be. I won't be in the market for another 5-6 years, but still want to see it. Think of if this way though, whatever they come out with, it's going to be around for the next 15 years so they better get it right.

This works out well for me. I wasn't in the market for another 2 years, wasn't looking forward to having to chose between an un-tested new design, or one of the big 3, and likely having the option of a leftover Gen3 off the table by the time I'm ready. If this is end of next year, chances are pretty good if I don't like the Gen4 current body style trucks will still be available. I'd just snatch one of them up at a discount if there's no other options and probably drive the wheels off it for about another 15 years.

Latest and greatest would be nice but if I'm uncomfortable with the new specs, I don't mind falling back on a powertrain that has performed like new for me for 11 years in the truck I have now.
