I know it’s been talked about but I have a TRD dual tip exhaust in my garage and I’m ready to install it on my 3rd Gen with power bed step. Has anyone successfully installed it without modification? I know I saw somewhere that somebody heated up the pipe and dented it for clearance, is that the only way?

Yes. Sometimes the step will fold out when it hits the exhaust. I just tap it with my foot and it goes back in.

No need to heat it to dent it

Does it dent easy? What’s the best way, just keep whacking it with a hammer

    Why dent it?

Seems like you must need that little bit of clearance so the step doesn’t hit it. If there is another way I’d love to hear it

There is: don’t dent it. The step still closes. It just bangs on the pipe every once in a while.
