I am getting alternator whine coming through the speakers and unplugging the RCAs doesn’t make it go away.

I have 3 harnesses coming from the Metra wire kit for the head unit, Axxess steering wheel controls, and another for the back camera harness adapter. I was advised to ground the head unit to the chassis. Where is the best place to do this? I don’t see any good places with the radio removed unless I just ground it to the back of the stereo. I have an Alpine ILX-W650.

BTW, I have moved the grounds from the amp to another location which did nothing. RCAs are run opposite side of power and ground. I have a set of RCA ground loop isolators that I connected to a 4 channel JL Audio amp that did nothing.

I believe the noise is coming from the ground from the head unit because I have it and the adapter grounds all going to a single ground of the Metra wire harness. Is there a place in the dash that would be a good grounding point?

Make sure on your ground from your amp that it is connected to raw metal on your chassis if there is paint grind it away- I had the same problem and this is where my issue was-

Yes I sanded the ground site down where I have my amps grounded. The issue is near the head unit. I think if I can find a good ground site, it will eliminate the issue. I think it’s from having so many adapters connected.
